Manicurious: A Musical Monologue and Manicure Set is capable of either being performed as a stage show or as an immersive installation. Throughout the course of the show Marcum attempts to give himself a manicure while musing about the rebellious nature of nail lacquer over a Motown musical soundtrack. It was initially conceived as a site specific piece at Columbia College Chicago and later manifested as a 1 on 1 performance at the Melbourne Pub in Brighton (UK). It was later reworked as a musical theatre piece performed at The University of Chichester Showroom (UK), the ACT Costume Shop Theatre and Zspace in San Francisco, California.
